City of Elyria Police Officer – Entry Level The City of Elyria Police Department is hiring an entry-level Police Officer. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age but less than 40 on or before July 18, 2026 Must be a United States citizen Must be able to read and write the English language Must have a valid United States driver’s license Must have a high school diploma or GED Benefits 12-hour Shifts Take home support cars 4 weeks of vacation after 1st year Excellent training & equipment Specialty unit bonuses Longevity pay Voluntary fitness bonuses On-site Gym Yearly clothing allowance Tuition reimbursement Applications will be accepted through July 13, 2026.
