Veterinary Assistant

The main purpose of the veterinary assistant/kennel attendant is to assist the veterinarians and licensed veterinary nurses with patient care and treatment, obtain patient histories, prepare occasional prescriptions and perform routine in-house lab work. We are looking for a team player who enjoys interaction with both people and pets. You should be friendly, caring, and compassionate with great communication skills. You should have the ability to enter medical records in to a patient's chart and relay information to clients and Veterinarians as needed You will need to restrain pets in a safe and friendly manner and clean exam rooms and kennels. You must be able to sit, stand, walk and reach and lift up to 50 pounds. You must have a valid driver's license. You must be dependable, reliable, competent. You may be needed to work evenings, weekends and Holidays and come to work in inclement weather. You will be asked to answer/dial phones.
