Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join our team in Suwanee, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts while safely handling materials, loading shipments, and following customer specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read measuring devices, and the ability to work extended shifts in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move and handle materials.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments while completing required paperwork.
• Properly secure truck loads using chains and tarps according to safety procedures.
• Read and understand product specifications, color-coding, and measuring devices.
• Follow DOT regulations regarding load weight and transportation safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation for shipping and receiving activities.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts required. Overhead crane certification preferred. Knowledge of products, measurements, and customer specifications. Understanding of DOT load weight regulations. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for 10-12 hour shifts. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
