Head Cross Country/Assistant Track and Field Coach Position Summary: Assist the Head Track and Field Coach with all aspects of the track and field/cross country program. Key Details Position Number: 012455 Vacancy Open To: All Candidates Employment Type: Permanent – Full‑time Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 Work Location: Irwin Belk Track and Field Center Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours as necessary Months Per Year: 12 Hours Per Week: 40 Responsibilities Direct coaching responsibilities of student athletes, recruiting, team travel, practice strategy, player development, and facility maintenance Prepare the team to be competitive within the affiliated conference with the ultimate goal of making the NCAA postseason Follow NCAA rules and regulations Monitor student‑athletes' academic progress in conjunction with AAC staff Minimum Qualifications Undergraduate degree Previous playing/coaching experience Preferred Qualifications Previous playing or coaching experience within a track and field/cross country program at the Division I level Other Information Candidate will be subject to a Criminal Background Check and/or a Motor Vehicle Report Search Committee will not contact references without permission Resume must reflect the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences required for this position Benefits information: Posting Open Date: 06/19/2026 Open Until Filled: Yes #J-18808-Ljbffr
