Carpenter - Commercial Concrete Formwork

About this roleJoin a commercial construction crew in McMinnville, TN working on concrete formwork and rough framing for large projects. This role focuses on building vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, scaffolding, and temporary structures. Expect outdoor work, elevated tasks, and hands-on problem solving. You must bring your own basic hand tools and follow strict site safety rules in a drug-free environment. This is a per diem position with project-based schedules; reliable attendance, the ability to work in all weather, and comfort working at heights are essential.What you'll doBuild vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, and temporary wood structures from sketches, blueprints, or oral instructionsErect and install scaffolds, tunnel/bridge/sewer supports, billboard frames, and temporary shelters as required on siteMeasure, cut, fit, and fasten materials; set anchor bolts and form ties; verify layout and dimensions using site drawingsWork safely at elevated heights and in outdoor conditions; follow site safety plans and use fall protection and PPECoordinate with crew leads to prepare formwork for concrete placement and assist during pours as directedMaintain hand tools and basic material inventory; keep work areas tidy and compliant with safety rulesWhat we're looking forMinimum 3 years commercial carpentry experience preferred, with hands-on work on concrete and gang formsAble to read and interpret drawings, perform site layout, and make accurate measurements and cutsOSHA-10 certification required and strict adherence to site safety and a drug-free workplaceMust provide own basic hand tools (hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, tool pouch, etc.)Able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical work outdoors in all weatherBilingual English/Spanish preferred to support crew communication on siteQualificationsOSHA-10 certification3+ years commercial construction carpentry preferred (concrete/formwork experience)Ability to read blueprints and perform site layoutMust provide own basic carpenter hand toolsEnglish and Spanish language skills preferredWhat we offerPer diem position (project-based work)Site-specific safety training and a drug-free work environmentHands-on work on large commercial concrete projects and opportunities to build formwork skillsSite-provided PPE when requiredWork with experienced crews and clear, task-focused assignmentsReady to apply?Build your profile.
