Beer, Wine, and Spirits Lead

Position Summary The Beer, Wine, and Spirits Lead (ABL) oversees the store's beer, wine, spirits, and non‑alcoholic cocktail operations. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring the market departments are well‑stocked, organized and visually appealing. The Adult Beverages Lead also serves as the primary supervisor of the adjacent Totum Liquor Store. The ABL will play a key role in ensuring that Totum Market and Eatery and Totum Liquor Store have an on‑trend and highly relevant product selection and a staff equipped with the knowledge to sell it. Key Responsibilities Work closely with vendor partners to maintain optimal stock levels and an on‑trend product mix. Work with vendor partners to set up regular product demonstrations to help drive sales and traffic. Develop and maintain attractive merchandising displays and seasonal features. Maintain department conditions, including cleanliness, organization, signage, and product presentation. Train staff members on product knowledge, customer service, and responsible alcohol sales practices. Ensure compliance with ATF and local regulatory policies. Collaborate with store leadership on department goals, promotions, and operational strategies. Analyze daily and weekly reports to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions. Serve as Manager‑on‑Duty (MOD) as needed. Qualifications Previous retail management or beverage category experience preferred. Strong understanding of store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and labor planning Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and beverage trends strongly preferred. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills preferred. Passion for craft beverages, emerging brands, and customer education preferred. High school diploma required Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
