Technical Manufacturing Chemist I

Join our client’s team as a Chemist I, supporting the production of materials used in immunology-based chromatography and enzyme tests. In this role, you will be responsible for producing and testing bioreagents, maintaining quality standards, and supporting manufacturing processes in a collaborative environment.

You will play a key part in maintaining the production schedule, investigating process improvements, and ensuring all work meets GMP/GLP standards. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of laboratory techniques and contribute to the development of diagnostic products.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the production schedule
• Investigate problem areas and areas for improvement
• Undertake new procedures and observe proper safety precautions
• Perform in-process QC testing of manufacturing materials
• Maintain quality systems and GMP/GLP standards
• Create and follow protocols for product improvement
• Produce critical and non-critical bioreagents for manufacturing processes
• Coordinate manufacturing efforts within a team setting
• Maintain raw bioreagent supply as needed

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with pipettes, spectrophotometry, HPLC, pH meters, gel electrophoresis, SDS Page, and ELISA assays
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with moderate supervision
• Proficiency with spreadsheet, database, manufacturing, and word processing software
