Powder Coating Quality Assurance Specialist

Wildeck, Inc

Job Description

Job Description

Step into a Day Shaping Quality at Wildeck

It’s 10:00 a.m. in Waukesha, WI. You clock in and sync up with the Manager, Quality & Continuous Improvement. Your focus today: ensuring our powder-painted and fabricated components meet exacting standards before they become the safest platforms, lifts, and guarding products in the industry.

What Your Day Looks Like
  • Begin with incoming inspections—raw materials and outsourced parts—verifying they match engineering specifications and work orders.
  • Move to in-process checks on fabricated parts, reading detailed blueprints and tolerances to confirm dimensions, fit, and appearance.
  • Perform paint-specific testing: verify coating quality and film thickness with a paint film gauge, assess surface profile, and confirm adhesion standards.
  • Check welding quality, leverage precision tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, squares, measuring tape, profile gauge), and document results.
  • Calibrate and verify your measurement tools per company standards, logging each action.
  • Compile and interpret statistical data from test results to confirm compliance or flag deviations; when necessary, issue non-conformance reports.
  • Partner with production to analyze issues and drive corrective action, using 5 Why and SOPs to eliminate root causes.
  • Verify that finished goods are packaged, tagged, and loaded to prevent transit damage.
