TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Englewood, Colorado, 80113!

Job Title: RN - PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: Seasonal Travel Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Nursing License Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Critical Care experience and/or PACU experience Description: This is a seasonal travel position for an RN in the PACU. Staff will float between different areas of the unit as needed. The PACU has a total of 59 bays for pre-operative and post-anesthesia care. There are approximately 70 staff members including RNs and patient care technicians. Shifts may vary based on the surgical schedule. Night shifts typically have a ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients. Same-day surgery patients may have up to 3 patients assigned to 1 RN. Staffing is performed per ASPAN standards. Equipment used on the unit includes GE Monitors and Meditech for electronic medical records. Candidates must have critical care or PACU experience. Candidates will be prioritized based on having additional stroke care experience. Common procedures performed include high neuro volume cases, stroke patients, and interventional radiology. Additional surgeries include spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases. The ideal candidate should be flexible and outgoing. Employee satisfaction is reported to be high.
