You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience while maintaining productivity, quality control, and safety standards. This role combines technical expertise with team leadership, scheduling, workflow optimization, and a commitment to continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Lead, supervise, and develop technicians across all skill levels by providing coaching, onboarding, training, and performance feedback in diagnostics, installations, and repairs.Manage daily workflow, assign tasks, and monitor timelines to ensure efficient operations and timely service deliveryConduct final inspections on completed repairs/installations to ensure accuracy, safety, and adherence to company and manufacturer standardsServe as a point of contact for customers regarding service estimates, job status, timelines, and recommendationsDeliver an exceptional customer experience by setting clear expectations, communicating proactively, and resolving concerns promptly and professionallyPartner with Sales Associates and Parts teams to support customer upgrades, custom builds, and special projectsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of work orders, estimates, parts usage, and labor hoursUtilize shop technology and equipment, including scheduling systems, inventory tools, diagnostic equipment, and alignment machines (e.g., Hunter Hawkeye).Monitor and improve shop performance by identifying opportunities to increase productivity, reduce turnaround times, and enhance operational efficiencyEnforce safety standards and use of PPE (gloves, glasses, hearing protection, etc.)Ensure team compliance with all OSHA, EPA, and company policiesMaintain a clean, organized, and secure shop environmentQualifications:3+ years of experience in an automotive service environment, including suspension, alignments, and accessory installationsValid driver’s license with no major violations and have at least five years of driving experienceDemonstrated leadership skills in a team setting, including delegation, coaching, and problem-solvingWorking knowledge of alignment machines, wheel balancers, and diagnostic toolsStrong customer communication and service skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., team lift up to 100 lbs., and perform physical labor in a service bay environmentPreferred:Experience managing or supervising a retail service department or automotive shopASE Certifications and/or completion of an automotive trade school or technical programKnowledge of Jeep, truck, off-road, and aftermarket performance products and accessoriesWork Environment:Retail store service department and automotive workshop environment with vehicle lifts, workbenches, moving vehicles, and related equipment.Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions including balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions.This is a full-time position and requires availability to work retail business hours, including weekends.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
