The manager is also responsible for motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff. This is a full-time, Monday – Thursday position reporting to the Plant Manager. The hours are 4:15 pm – 2:45 am. Job Responsibilities Oversee and direct all production and logistics activities in the plant. Develop and coach supervisors to successfully lead their teams. Monitor performance and develop and implement recommendations and action plans for improvements in efficiencies, quality, and safety. Lead daily production meetings to ensure optimum material, resources, staffing and workflow. Lead, direct and manage all safety initiatives in the plant, ensuring company and all regulatory policies are strictly maintained. Lead with consistency and accountability, setting expectations and providing follow-up. Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships. Requirements Education/Experience Manufacturing supervision/management experience. 3-5 years. Experience in Lean production principles and metrics. Experience with implementing and sustaining 5S principles. Skills/Abilities Ability to lead and develop employees. Strong communication skills. Written and verbal. Strong organizational skills. Ability to interpret production schedules and plan production to meet schedule. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues. Ability to cultivate and maintain a teamwork-oriented workplace. Strong people-centric leadership and managerial attributes. Proficient in Microsoft applications.
