Communications Specialist

The Digital Communications Specialist works collaboratively under the direction of the Marketing Director to support Mid-Del Technology Center’s marketing and communications efforts through social media management, content creation, and visual storytelling. This position develops and shares content that promotes MDTC programs, student success, events, partnerships, and organizational initiatives across multiple communication channels while ensuring all work aligns with the established marketing direction, strategy, and goals set by the Marketing Director.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three years of professional content creation and digital marketing experience. Knowledge of CareerTech preferred. Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital content. Excellent writing, editing, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive first impressions. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software, with the ability to update marketing materials, create basic graphics, and produce/edit basic photography and video content. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
