Assistant Athletic Trainer

Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES Provide on field medical coverage during Academy training sessions and matches as assigned. Assist with the assessment of new injuries on the field of play and in the treatment room. Initiate communication chain of initial findings to athletic trainers and physical therapists, and when appropriate communicate findings to coaching staff, fitness staff, and team physician. Assist in the creation and execution of short, medium and long term rehabilitation plans for players as assigned. Assist in the development and delivery of individualized injury reduction measures within the RB2 setting. Assist in the creation and execution of end stage rehab testing and assist performance staff with execution of return to play programming when appropriate.
