Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN

Job Overview The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides advanced‑level respiratory care to patients to diagnose, evaluate, treat, manage, and control deficiencies and/or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system within the prescription of the order physician. The RRT acts as a resource to the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) staff and may be responsible for special clinical projects or assignments designated by leadership according to departmental needs. Shift & Compensation Shift: PRN variable shifts (0 scheduled weekly hours). Location: Utah Valley Hospital, Provo, Utah. Hourly rate: $32.02 – $49.44, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Perform advanced respiratory care, including equipment management, patient assessment, and treatment planning. Read and interpret information, labels, and patient data; operate monitors; identify equipment and supplies. Communicate verbally with patient care providers, patients, and visitors; respond quickly and accurately during emergency situations. Use manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment; perform frequent computer use and typing for documentation. Lift, transfer, and assist with transporting patients and supplies; handle items of varying weights, including heavy items; navigate busy rooms and stand for extended periods when required. Qualifications Graduate of an NBRC‑approved Respiratory Therapist program. Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) and current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers. Required certifications (e.g., PALS, ACLS, NRP). One year of respiratory experience preferred.
