Yard Worker

Automation Personnel Services is hiring a  Yard Worker for a company in  Lawrenceville, GA . In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a stable and growing team while developing your forklift and material handling skills in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This position offers long-term potential for dependable individuals who enjoy hands-on work and being active throughout the day.

Pay Rate

$18.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday
1st Shift

Yard Worker Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks.
• Move materials throughout the yard and place them in designated storage areas.
• Ensure materials are stacked, stored, and secured properly to prevent damage.
• Manually lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Assist with organizing inventory and maintaining an efficient yard layout.
• Inspect materials for quality and report any damaged products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Assist with general yard maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Yard Worker Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Basic knowledge of material handling and warehouse or yard operations.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Full-time, Temporary
