Medical Assistant

Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care for patients and providers Assist physicians with medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures within established guidelines Understand patient flow and anticipate providers’ next steps Prepare rooms before and after patients Check equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper working order Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions Scan retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily Alert the Head MA and/or GM about low-level supplies Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested Attend in-house training and continuing education opportunities Requirements Experience is not required; interest in healthcare accepted Teamwork experience Detail-oriented Flexible schedule Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays during operating hours of 7:00am–7:30pm Open flexibility to help cover in a team environment Dermatology experience preferred Healthcare experience preferred Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Excellent patient relations and customer service skills Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends Core Competencies Demonstrates strong patient care capabilities, including assisting with medical and cosmetic procedures, maintaining equipment, and managing patient flow.
