Medical Technologist in Springfield, GA

A dynamic contract opportunity is available for experienced professionals skilled as Medical Technologists, with generalist experience highly desired. This 13-week position offers a weekend schedule, with shifts consisting of three 12-hour days per week. Schedule:

Qualifications:

• MT certification required
• Proven experience as a Medical Technologist (Generalist preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory processes, instrumentation, and safety protocols
• Ability to perform consistently in high-volume lab settings
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication abilities
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a full range of laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, immunology, and microbiology
• Maintain equipment, ensure quality control, and follow all relevant standards for safety and accuracy
• Record and interpret results, reporting critical values promptly
• Troubleshoot routine instrument problems and escalate as appropriate
• Maintain effective communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Support departmental goals and ensure compliance with all regulations
