Summary:

Responsibilities:

Complete complex accounting analysis independently, applying accounting theory.
Prepare and analyze monthly estimated contractual adjustments, charity, and bad debt.
Prepare and file Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements.
Maintain annual budgets and prepare Federal/State and Local tax returns.
Report to the state COPN Regulatory Authority and perform cost analysis.
Interpret and communicate federal and state regulations, managing priorities and deadlines.
Assess the theoretical integrity of accounting functions and recommend improvements.
Serve as a liaison with regulatory and taxing agencies, external consultants, auditors, and company leadership.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance/Business with a concentration in Accounting (21 credits in Accounting required).
1 year of accounting experience with analysis, budget, and financial statements.

Preferred Skills:

Master's Degree in a related field.
Prior experience in healthcare accounting/finance.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Excellent Excel skills, including heavy use of pivot tables and advanced formulas.
