Join us!Buyer, Procurement – Buying & Category ManagementThe Buyer supports Indirect Procurement in purchasing goods and services that enable Signet’s operations. This entry-level role provides day-to-day purchasing support, including purchase orders, supplier follow-up, issue resolution, and invoice discrepancies. Working under the guidance of Procurement Managers and Sr. Buyers, the Buyer will also gain exposure to category management, sourcing, supplier performance, and spend analysis while developing core procurement skills.This role is designed for early-career professionals interested in building a career in Procurement and Supply Chain, with cross-training across key categories and functions.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement OperationsCreate, issue, and maintain purchase orders in line with company policiesTrack orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery and status updatesResolve purchasing, delivery, quality, and invoice issues with internal and external partnersMaintain accurate supplier, pricing, and purchasing data in systemsSupport Procurement Managers and Sr. Buyers with daily tasks and projectsEnsure compliance with procurement policies and financial controlsCategory & Supplier SupportSupport assigned categories under guidance from Procurement leadershipAssist with supplier communication, reporting, and performance trackingHelp analyze spend, pricing, and purchasing trendsParticipate in supplier meetings, sourcing activities, and market researchSupport process improvements and cost-saving initiativesBudget & Analysis SupportAssist with budget and forecast preparation using historical spend dataSupport monthly budget tracking and variance analysisHelp identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunitiesDevelopment & Cross-TrainingCross-train across procurement categories and processesSupport sourcing, supplier reviews, and category planning activitiesLearn procurement systems, tools, and best practicesUse Excel, Copilot, and analytics tools to support reporting and analysisParticipate in training and development opportunitiesQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or related fieldRecent graduates and candidates with internships or related experience encouraged to applyExperience0–2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, finance, or related fieldInternship or project experience preferredSkillsStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsAbility to learn ERP/SAP and procurement systemsStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesComfortable working with data and using AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to support analysisStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with suppliers and internal teamsSummaryLocation: Support Center - Akron, OHType: Full time
