Dental Hygienist PositionRandolph & Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team of dental professionals in Bloomington, IL! We serve all demographics of the population, from preschoolers to the elderly, and we operate a busy office with high levels of traffic. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept emergency calls. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring, and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. If you're passionate about oral health and are excited about creating positive patient experiences, we hope to hear from you!Compensation$36+ an hour based on experienceSchedule & Office HoursOpen to full or part-time opportunitiesMonday through Friday8:00 AM - 5:00 PMBenefits and PerksMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance (FT employees)PTO and paid holidays (FT employees)401(k) optionsFree CE courses provided by our affiliated vendorsOccasional team lunches and office tripsQualificationsAssociate Degree in Dental Hygiene requiredCurrent state license required2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist (preferred)Excellent verbal communication skillsExperience working with children preferredBasic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rulesCurrent CPR certification requiredSpecific DutiesPerform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride, sealants, and root planningComplete a thorough assessment of the patient's teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and document and chart any abnormalities or suspected conditionsCustomize care to meet patient's oral healthEducate patients on good oral hygiene techniquesMaintain patient confidentialityProvide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standardsCollect medical and dental histories from patientsChart dental conditions based on dentist's observations and evaluationsCreate molds of patients' teeth in preparation for dental appliancesSterilize dental instruments and toolsTake X-rays of patients' teeth and develop them for dentist's useProvide chair-side assistance during dental procedures
