Licensed Insurance Sales Representative

About the Opportunity

Duran Insurance Agency is a growing insurance agency in McLean, Virginia, looking for a confident, motivated Licensed Insurance Sales Representative to join our team.

This is a true sales and production role for someone who can take ownership of opportunities from beginning to end — from the first conversation and discovery through quoting, follow-up, closing, and binding.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable being measured by results, takes initiative, communicates well, and understands that strong insurance sales starts with listening, identifying genuine needs, and helping clients make informed decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Respond quickly to inbound leads, referrals, call-ins, and other sales opportunities
• Conduct proactive outbound prospecting and consistent follow-up
• Manage leads from first contact through discovery, quoting, closing, and binding
• Quote and sell Auto, Home, Renters, Life, Health, and other appropriate insurance products
• Ask thoughtful questions to understand household needs, risks, and coverage gaps
• Identify appropriate cross-selling opportunities
• Clearly explain coverage options and confidently ask for the business
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurately document activity in the CRM
• Meet established production, application, premium, and product goals
• Participate in ongoing sales coaching, training, and performance reviews
• Work collaboratively with the service and administrative team

 

What We’re Looking For

• Property & Casualty insurance license
• Previous insurance sales and quoting experience
• Life & Health insurance license 
• Proven sales experience with measurable results
• Comfortable with outbound calling, prospecting, and consistent follow-up
• Able to manage a sales opportunity from initial contact through quoting, closing, and binding
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills
• Organized with strong CRM and documentation habits
• Motivated by goals and accountable for results
• Takes initiative and can work independently without constant direction
• Coachable, dependable, professional, and team-oriented
• Strong ethical judgment and a customer-focused approach
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

 

Compensation & Schedule

• $23–$25/hour, full-time
• Performance-based incentives/commission opportunities

• Full-time, in-office position in McLean/Tysons, Virginia
• Standard business hours with occasional evenings or Saturdays as needed

Technology & Tools

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Experience working within modern agency management platforms and digital workflows
