Part Time Practical Nursing Instructor

General Description SUNY Niagara is seeking part‑time Practical Nursing Instructors to teach in the skills lab, including evaluation of skill performance. Remuneration for this position is $903 per lab hour. Paid orientation to teaching and responsibilities will be provided. Selected candidates may apply for a possible scholarship to earn a Master’s of Science in Nursing Education. Typical Work Activities Teaching nursing skills in the lab, assessing student proficiency, preparing instructional materials, communicating with students and faculty, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Essential Functions Ability to work with and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups. Effective communication with students, co‑workers, supervisors, and the campus community. Develop, prepare, and present information. Operate computers. Physically perform the duties of the position. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing. Recent (within 5 years) acute‑care experience. Desirable Qualifications Master’s of Science degree with a major in Nursing. Maternity experience. Licenses & Certifications Not specified.
