Deployment and Monitoring Engineer (Canary)

Overview Deployment and Monitoring Engineer (Canary) at mroads. This is a remote opportunity. Responsibilities Design and execute test strategies for canary deployments and production rollout validation. Build and maintain end-to-end automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and reliability. Partner with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to integrate QA checks into CI/CD pipelines. Utilize Dynatrace telemetry and monitoring tools to detect anomalies, regressions, and performance degradation. Define and enforce rollback validation criteria to ensure quick recovery from failures. Lead root cause analysis for production issues and drive continuous improvements in release quality. Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices for testing in modern deployment environments. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in automation and production testing. Hands-on experience with end-to-end test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.). Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment validation in cloud-native environments. Experience working with Dynatrace or similar APM tools (New Relic, AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk). Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices. Strong analytical and debugging skills, with experience in failure detection and rollback validation. Nice to Have Experience with canary deployments, blue-green deployments, or feature flag strategies. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, NeoLoad, Gatling). Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
