Managing Counsel, Product About the Company Industry-shaping health & wellness platform Industry Health, Wellness and Fitness Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Managing Counsel, Product to lead a team of attorneys in providing strategic legal guidance on the marketing and promotion of its consumer products, including digital offerings and those regulated by healthcare laws. This role is pivotal in the intersection of product innovation, healthcare regulation, marketing, and e-commerce, and the successful candidate will be a legal leader and strategic partner to the company's marketing, product, and growth teams. Responsibilities include serving as a senior legal adviser for the full product portfolio, proactively implementing consumer protection laws, and cultivating a strong understanding of the business model to align legal guidance with business objectives. The role also involves leading, developing, and mentoring a team of attorneys, and setting standards and processes for product legal support in a fast-paced, consumer-centric environment. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school, active bar membership, and at least 9 years of experience in legal practice, with a focus on consumer products and advertising/marketing issues. Key skills include the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment, excellent communication, relationship-building, and business judgment. A creative, self-starter mindset, and experience in leading a team of legal professionals are preferred. The role requires a candidate who is excited about both advising on complex product matters and shaping legal strategy, processes, and standards in a high-growth company.
