Pipefitter/Ironworker Helper

Job Description: Pipefitter/Ironworker Helper Job Summary The Pipefitter/Ironworker Helper assists skilled tradespeople in the installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and structural ironwork. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced construction or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Support pipefitters and ironworkers in assembling and installing pipes, pipe systems, and structural components. Carry materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas. Hold, align, or secure materials in place during installation or assembly. Clean and prepare work sites by removing debris, hazardous materials, and other obstacles. Cut, grind, and prepare pipes or steel components as directed. Assist with routine checks and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment. Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and procedures. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Competencies Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and safety practices. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work in various weather conditions. Ability to read and follow instructions, safety rules, and procedures. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills. Good teamwork and communication skills. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to pass a pre-employment physical or fitness test, if required. Authorization to work in the job location country. Basic math and measurement skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in construction trades, pipefitting, or ironworking. OSHA 10-Hour or similar safety training certification. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Familiarity with welding or rigging is a plus.
