Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with patient and family participation.
• Consistently adhere to documentation policies including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in patient care conferences and provide effective discharge planning and education.
• Assist with coordination and supervision of student and volunteer programs in the department.
• Contribute to clinical aspects of the department, including scheduling and quality patient coverage.
• Engage in Performance Improvement activities and maintain productivity standards.

Requirements of the Physical Therapist

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold a current New Mexico Physical Therapist Licensure.
• BLS certification via AHA is required.
• No prior experience required.
