Surgical Technician (Surg Tech) - General Surgery

As a Surg Tech, you will support a patient‑centered team and help ensure safe, high‑quality operative care. Responsibilities Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, equipment, sterile solutions, and supplies before procedures. Help prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and ensuring the surgical site is properly prepped. Maintain a sterile field at all times and uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique to prevent infection. Anticipate the surgeon's needs, passing instruments and supplies efficiently and safely throughout the procedure. Assist with tasks such as holding retractors, cutting sutures, handling specimens, and applying dressings as directed. Participate in pre‑ and post‑procedure counts, room turnover, cleaning, and restocking to keep cases running smoothly. Support a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork while providing age‑appropriate care to patients across the lifespan. Minimum of 1 year Surg Tech experience required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire. Preferred experience in total joint procedures (hip, knee, shoulder), neuro‑spine, robotic cases for general surgery and OB, and cystoscopies.
