Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A well-established community health center pharmacy is urgently seeking a full-time pharmacist to provide immediate coverage. This role presents a unique opportunity to support a busy, well-run retail pharmacy environment that values experienced professionals. Candidates with recent retail or community pharmacy experience will find this assignment rewarding and engaging.
Location: Visalia, CA
Job Type: Contract (starting ASAP, initially 4 weeks with potential extension)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Responsibilities include:
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently using Rx30 pharmacy system
- Collaborating with experienced pharmacy technicians to ensure excellent patient care
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies
- Providing professional counseling to patients regarding medications and health conditions
- Managing inventory and documentation associated with prescriptions
Desired Qualifications:
- Recent experience in retail or community pharmacy settings
- Licensed pharmacist with current state certification
- Proficient with pharmacy management systems, especially Rx30
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
