Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care

Location: Maine (specific city not provided)

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients of all age groups. This role involves conducting nursing assessments, developing and implementing plans of care, and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial age-appropriate nursing assessment and ongoing reassessments.
• Complete discharge assessments and identify patient discharge needs.
• Develop and implement plan of care based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Communicate patient care activities to healthcare team members and document activities in compliance with established standards.
• Administer medications and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
• Ensure a safe physical environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in emergency/disaster preparedness planning and respond to real-life emergencies as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in Maine or compact license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Current immunizations including Varicella, HepB, MMR, Tdap, and PPD or relevant titers.
• Flu shot required during flu season.
