????? Position Overview

The Mother Baby RN provides comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns , including assessments, patient education, medication administration, care planning, and coordination with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for family-centered care

?? Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing assessments of postpartum mothers and newborns
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Provide postpartum education and newborn-care instruction to patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to providers
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines
• Float to other units within scope of practice when needed.
• Participate in on-call coverage if required.

? Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program ( ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS certification – American Heart Association required.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS may be required based on unit needs.
• Previous Mother Baby, Postpartum, Labor & Delivery, or Women's Health experience preferred
• Strong assessment, patient education, communication, and critical-thinking skills
