Quality Assurance Engineer - Manufacturing

Quality EngineerThe Quality Engineer supports continuous improvement by strengthening inspection processes, investigating quality issues, and partnering with production, engineering, and customers to deliver reliable products. This role blends hands-on inspection, data analysis, and corrective action with real influence on manufacturing outcomes.Analyze and improve inspection and quality control processesInvestigate in-process failures and production rejections (MRB)Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Create and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions, and quality documentationPerform random inspections using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Analyze and report production and test system data; apply SPC toolsSupport testing and validation activitiesWork with customers on complaints, returns, and change requestsPrepare corrective action reports and MQM documentationParticipate in quality audits and cross-functional problem solvingFollow all safety rules; maintain a clean work areaPerform other duties as assignedBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field2+ years of engineering experience (quality engineering experience preferred)Ability to read blueprints, technical data, and test proceduresStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities independently and with a teamExperience with SAP or other ERP systemsKnowledge of SPC and quality toolsFamiliarity with inspection equipmentMicrosoft Office proficiencyMajority office-based with regular time in production labWork occurs in office, quality lab, and production floor settingsAbility to work with small parts (with or without accommodation)Occasional travel to customer sitesHands-on role with visible impact on quality and productionCross-functional exposure and customer interactionOpportunity to grow within quality systems and manufacturing operations
