As a Registered Nurse you will provide professional nursing care while assessing the needs of patients and developing individualized plans that meet the needs of the ones we serve. You will also participate and assist in implementing the care and treatment that has been determined by nursing staff and supervisors within the hospital.Responsibilities include:Perform ongoing assessments of each patient's biopsychosocial needsDevelop initial nursing plan of carePerform charge nurse dutiesApply interventions identified in the treatment plan and document all nursing careFacilitate and co-facilitate group programmingInteract respectfully with all patients while maintaining professional boundariesProvide input on patients' progress and recommend any changes to the treatment planParticipate in discharge planning with the patient and other team membersAnoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is a secure inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Future Registered Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply.
