RN - Telemetry | Lakewood, WA | 13 Weeks Contract Location: Lakewood, WA Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Schedule: 3×12 Experience Required: 2 Years Weekly Pay: $2,120 to $2,320 About the Role We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Telemetry to join a healthcare team in Lakewood, Washington for a 13-week contract assignment. This opportunity is ideal for a confident telemetry nurse who can provide high-quality patient care while closely monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding quickly to changes in patient condition. As a Telemetry RN, you will care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, medical-surgical, and other complex conditions while working collaboratively with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Roles and Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients throughout the shift. Perform head-to-toe assessments and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and other clinical indicators. Continuously monitor telemetry and recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms or changes in patient status. Report significant rhythm changes and clinical concerns promptly to the appropriate healthcare providers. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments according to orders and facility protocols. Monitor patients receiving anticoagulants, cardiac medications, and other high-alert medications. Manage IV lines, central lines, drains, catheters, and other clinical equipment as applicable. Provide care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, vascular, and complex medical conditions. Assist with admissions, transfers, procedures, and discharge planning. Provide post-operative care, wound care, pain management, and patient monitoring as required. Recognize signs of patient deterioration and initiate appropriate interventions.Participate in rapid response and emergency situations according to facility protocols. Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, safety, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Follow infection prevention, fall prevention, medication safety, and patient safety standards. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, pharmacists, CNAs, and other members of the care team. Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies and applicable healthcare standards. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in Washington State. Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry or acute-care nursing experience . Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm monitoring and telemetry interpretation. Current BLS certification; additional certifications may be required based on facility requirements. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately. Experience with medication administration and IV therapy. Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
