Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist to support our client’s medical facility based in Shelton, CT 06484. This is a 3 months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Shift : Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 – 5:30

Payrate : 30-40$/hr. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Details:

\n
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
\n
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
\n
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
\n
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
\n
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
\n
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
\n
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
\n
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
\n
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
\n
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
\n
• Minimum 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required. State Medical Technologist license may be required (will be listed in requirement if it s needed).
\n
• MLT/MLS required
\n
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
\n
• Proficient with computers.
\n
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
\n
• High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills. Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.
\n
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
\n
