Shipping Material Handler

Shipping Material HandlerAtlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Shipping Material Handler to support shipping operations at our Chicago facility. In this role, you will safely move, stage, and load steel tube and pipe products while ensuring accuracy, organization, and adherence to safe material-handling practices. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining safe and efficient operations.Shift: Afternoon - 3pm - 11pmWhat You'll DoChampion and follow safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirementsOperate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials efficientlyPick, pack, and stage customer orders to ensure accurate and timely shipmentLoad finished products onto flatbed trailers or LTL carriers according to shipping specificationsReceive and inspect inbound materials and report damages or discrepanciesReplenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory to maintain proper material flowVerify order accuracy using scanning tools and shipping documentationMaintain clean, organized, and safe staging and shipping areasComplete required shipping, inventory, and equipment inspection documentationPerform additional duties as assignedMaintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendanceWho You AreMinimum 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipmentBasic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory trackingStrong communication skills and attention to detailAbility to lift, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 poundsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, push, pull, and operate warehouse equipment safelyComfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving equipmentWhat You'll GetZekeelman Industries offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including:Competitive compensationBonus plan and profit-sharing opportunities401(k) with company matchComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceTuition assistance programPaid vacation and holidaysEmployee loyalty awardsCompensationBelow is the expected base hourly range for this position.
