Provides Head Coach with information pertaining to program such as scores, schedules, sites, discipline concerns, procedures, and inventory of supplies and equipment. Schedules and attends practices, develops and implements individual/team training plan by the day, week, month, season, as appropriate for their level in conjunction with the overall program goals. Makes sure each athlete is cleared from the athletic office to participate in practices and games. Monitors athletes attendance, behavior, and academic status. Understands the signs and symptoms of injuries such as a concussion and removes players that are exhibiting signs and symptoms of injury. Encourages student athletes to set and maintain high standards of behavior on the field and off. Engage with the parents of the members of the soccer team in a positive and constructive manner. Attends and participates in scheduled staff and team meetings. The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach and the Athletic Director. The Assistant Coach is required to attend any PIAA coaches meeting. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Qualifications Assist with the organization and development of the high school soccer program. Must be team-oriented, hands-on, and passionate about sports. Basic knowledge of soccer. Pre-Employment Requirements Completion of the following three clearances: PA State Police Background Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting Background Check. Completion of PIAA safety and compliance trainings. The individual must be punctual at all times and ensure that work responsibilities are covered in his or her absence. Must complete tasks correctly and on time. Safety Regulations Must report all student concerns, injuries, and incidents to the Athletic Department immediately. Anyone who knows of any action, inaction, or misconduct is required to file a report with the Athletic Department and shall report such misconduct to his or her school administrator. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise any volunteers associated with the team. Working Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position requires the incumbent to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of lighting and weather conditions, including but not limited to: heat, sun, rain, snow and ice. Compensation 34 units for the completion of the whole spring season. 1 Unit = $96.00. This position is evaluated on a yearly basis. Evaluations are based on the development of players and the team's overall skillset.
