Position Description: RN - Registered Nurse Department Pool / PRN - Pre-op

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a PRN/Pool Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Pre-op team at South Florida Baptist Hospital. The RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

Qualifications:

• Certifications and Licensures:
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
• ACLS Certification, if required by department
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred
• Education:
• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
• Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred
• Experience:
• 18 months of RN experience is required. 18 months of RN experience in pre-op is preferred.
• Specific Skills:
• Interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Clinical skills appropriate to position

Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
