We are looking for a passionate culinary professional to join our Cook team at La Quinta Resort & Club. Responsibilities Assist the culinary leadership team in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. Work with a world‑class culinary team to create menus reflecting seasonal availability and restaurant concept. Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen environment and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies. Develop knowledge and skills in cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté, fry). Operate knives and kitchen equipment. Read and recreate recipes. Ensure consistent food preparation. Minimize food waste through cross utilization. Work at designated workstation with ingredients and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients (chop, peel, cut). Keep kitchen clean and orderly. Store food and items properly. Maintain quality of ingredients. Qualifications 1‑2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or active culinary education. Active food handler certification or ability to obtain. Willingness to work day/night and weekend shifts. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Must stand on feet for extended periods. Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds. Minimum 21 years of age. Desire to exceed expectations. Energetic personality.
