ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education, plans, develops, and implements instructional programs for individuals who have been identified and assessed as needing language and speech services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide a language/speech program for students enrolled in Special Education Identify, assess, plans, implement, and evaluate speech and language programs Identify and assess students with communication disorders; provide referrals as necessary (e.g. medical, audiological, psychological, behavioral) Implement and maintain current IEPs Interact, consult and collaborate with school staff, including providing staff training as necessary Participate in parent/school informational meetings when appropriate Maintain records as necessary Perform related duties as requested WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US: Health care coverage options, including medical, dental, and vision. WHO YOU ARE: You are detail-oriented, hardworking, and can execute at a high level You can operate independently in a fast-paced environment You have knowledge of special education law, ed code, and federal and state laws pertaining to students with special needs.
