Project Manager (Capital Markets & Fixed Income)

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid: 2 days per week in-office)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: 8–12 Years

Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000 + Bonus

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for one or more business lines. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders (Trading, Sales, and Business Support) and technical teams. You will be responsible for performing business function analysis, documenting requirements, and coordinating with technology staff to deliver robust solutions for our trading platforms. Additionally, you will support the business during production system usage, manage fixes, and oversee incident resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between front-office/middle-office business clients and the development/support teams.
  • Requirements Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements and prioritize them based on business needs.
  • Project Execution: Manage multiple priorities, commitments, and concurrent projects throughout the full SDLC.
  • System Support: Provide bridge support between developers and the business during production system usage, system fixes, and incident resolution.
  • Solution Delivery: Collaborate with technical staff to translate business needs into effective technical or user process solutions.

Required Competencies & Expertise

  • Domain Knowledge:
  • Deep expertise in Fixed Income (Bonds, Repos, Treasury, IRS, IRD, CDS).
  • Proficiency in FX and Equity Derivatives.
  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets trade processing and position keeping.
  • Knowledge of Exchanges and competitive Electronic Trading Platforms.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with Low Latency Trading Platform developments.
  • Solid understanding of major SDLC methodologies.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Proven ability to interface effectively with senior business stakeholders (Front Office/Middle Office).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
