Diagnoses lactation problems, plans and implements intervention and evaluation outcomes. Conducts prenatal breastfeeding classes and evaluates educational outcomes. Provides consultation and outpatient care for families experiencing difficulty breastfeeding. Serves as a consultant for healthcare providers concerning lactation as it relates to patient’s health problems. Responsibilities Evaluates and consults with mothers having breastfeeding problems Conducts bedside lactation rounds daily Plans, teaches and evaluates classes for expectant and new breastfeeding mothers Plans, teaches and conducts in-service education for Women’s Services nursing staff Creates a culture that promotes learning for staff and patients Participates in communication and decision-making activities of the Women’s Services Carries out other duties as assigned Requirements Associate's Degree in Nursing CLC IBLCE RN License in state of employment or compact BLS Work Type Full Time EEO Statement EEO is the law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
