Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Alabama K-6th teaching certification
• Previous experience or passion for working in a K-6th special education classroom
• Skilled at managing caseloads and collaborating with educational teams
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction and support according to each student’s IEP
• Manage and maintain records for a caseload of approximately 20 K-6th grade students
• Write and revise Individualized Education Plans as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, working closely with families and school staff
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
