Attorney

An established firm based in Alpharetta, GA with over 40 years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of litigation experience to join their team on a hybrid basis. This role will focus on workers' compensation defense matters, including pleadings, motions, court hearings, depositions, mediations, and ongoing client representation in a high-volume litigation environment.Offer:Salary range: $95,000-$135,000+, contingent on experienceComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceMatching 401(k)Paid time offMentorship opportunitiesCollaborative and welcoming work environmentWork-life balanceHybrid work arrangementQualifications:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active Georgia license in good standing2-4 years of relevant litigation experience, with judicial clerkship experience consideredExperience handling workers' compensation defense matters is preferredStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Excel, ProLaw, and e-document management software is preferredAbility to manage deadlines, organize a caseload, communicate effectively, and contribute in a fast-paced team environmentSelf-motivated professional judgment with the ability to work independently while collaborating with senior attorneysResponsibilities:Conduct legal research and analysis on workers' compensation and related litigation issuesDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, and other legal documentsRepresent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, conferences, and motion practiceCollaborate with senior attorneys on complex workers' compensation defense mattersManage client relationships and a litigation caseload with appropriate supervisionAssist with trial preparation and courtroom representation when neededMaintain required billable hours and support efficient case progressionCoordinate with team members, clients, opposing counsel, and experts throughout all phases of litigation
