Urgent Hiring: Helpers for In-Home Support - Dalton, NY
Dalton, NY 14836 Location: Dalton, NY 14836 Start Date: ASAP Helper Rate: $17 per hour
We are seeking a kind and reliable helper to assist a 72-year-old female with MS who uses an electric wheelchair and is unable to stand. She lives in a clean, spacious home and is otherwise active and in good health aside from mobility limitations.
This role is to supplement existing weekday care with weekend support.
Care Responsibilities
- Provide ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
- Perform light housekeeping
- Provide companionship and supervision
- Ensure overall safety and comfort
Schedule
- Saturday & Sunday (bi-weekly)
- Morning: ~3 hours (around 7:308:00 AM start)
- Evening: 23 hours (around 7:0010:00 PM)
- Flexible timing within these ranges
Ideal Candidate
- Physically capable and safety-focused
- Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts
- Patient, compassionate, and attentive
This role is best suited for experienced helpers who are confident with full ADL support, and can provide gentle, respectful care while supporting the client's independence.
