Direct Support Professional

Job Overview Verland is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Main Campus in Sewickley, PA. The DSP will provide individualized care and support to people in our community with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges. This hourly, non‑exempt position requires 36 work hours weekly, typically full‑time shifts: 6pm–6:30am on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The role includes a $2,000 sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene Perform housekeeping duties as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation Ability to lift and transfer clients without restrictions Must pass a complete background, physical, and drug screening Training Verland provides two weeks paid training to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, and each individual’s support plan. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
