Requirements:

The Practice Manager is an active member of the WHN Management Team. This professional is responsible for providing leadership to and coordination of the daily activities of the specific Health Center to which he/she has been assigned. A WHN Practice Manager is accountable for:

• Providing leadership and support to mid-level managers, providers, and other Health Center staff with regard to the daily operations of the Health Centers.
• Ensuring the gathering of administrative and financial data related to scheduling patients and collecting patient fees; and actively assisting with the administration of WHN.
• Assisting Executive Leadership in achieving WHN’s operational and budgetary goals.
• Effectively managing assigned staff in a manner consistent with WHN policies and values.
• Maintaining effective feedback mechanisms with staff in order to enhance work processes and promote employee knowledge and understanding.
• Handling patient inquiries and complaints regarding scheduling, billing or any aspect of service delivery related to the specific Health Center.
• Collects, maintains, and reviews data pertinent to Health Centers’ overall financial viability as well as the productivity of individual providers in coordination with the DHCO.
• Is responsible for ensuring that the monthly Master Schedules at the Health Center are distributed or posted appropriately.
• Is responsible for ensuring that sufficient and appropriate levels of inventory of office and medical supplies are on hand at all times and cost effective.
• Designs effective staffing models that adequately support the Health Centers’ operations in a cost-effective manner in coordination with the DHCO.
• Is responsible for evaluating the job performance of direct reports
• Is responsible for overseeing payroll activities, including the accurate tracking of Paid Time Off (PTO)
• Mentors Front Office Managers and Nurse Managers in aspects of management & leadership principles.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

• Mission: Clearly communicates and continuously supports WHN’s Mission, Vision and Values.
• Is responsible for ensuring that the Health Center complies with all regulations and standards established by HRSA, CMS, the Indiana Family Social Services Administration (FSSA), the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), CLIA, any other applicable regulatory agency and the WHN Corporate Compliance Program.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING:

• A qualified candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree is preferred.
• A qualified candidate must have at least four (4) years of supervisory/management experience in a health care-related environment, preferably in an outpatient, primary care setting.

Work Location: In person
