They are proof of our dedication to creating a dynamic, inclusive environment that fuels innovation.A Little More About What You Will Be DoingThe Medical Scribe assists the physician in the clinical setting by observing and transcribing medical information during patient encounters and supporting the documentation process, during and after the patient care visit.Transcribes history and other relevant medical information, recorded by patient, into electronic medical recordReviews and reconciles patient's medication and allergy list as recorded by patientAccurately documents patient encounter based on physician's verbal dictationPerforms a range of clerical tasks including encounter reconciliation and informing physician if pertinent information is missing from documentation i.e., transcription, history information, and review of systemsResponsible for maintaining physician to physician written communication, including corrections as requested, review, mailing and faxing the final draft in a timely manner to the correct addresseeMay perform additional front office or back office responsibilities as needed such as appointment scheduling and rooming patientsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredCertification by the American Association for Medical Transcription preferredExperience6 months experience as a Medical Scribe or related experience and/or training, or equivalent of related education and experience preferred required
