Lead Data Engineer

LOCATION

Remote (EST preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Customer 360 & Identity Resolution

• Lead development of Customer 360 capabilities by integrating data across hospitality, gaming, digital, loyalty, and customer service platforms.
• Design and implement identity resolution frameworks and customer identity graph solutions.
• Develop data models and architectures that support customer relationship mapping, confidence scoring, and customer profile unification.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate customer intelligence requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Data Engineering & Platform Leadership

• Design and build high-scale batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Develop domain-oriented data products that support machine learning and AI initiatives.
• Establish data engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
• Lead ingestion and integration efforts across dozens of enterprise data sources.
• Ensure high levels of data quality, governance, lineage, and trustworthiness.

Modern Data Architecture

• Build AI-ready, ML-ready, and agent-ready data structures.
• Design scalable data solutions leveraging Snowflake and Databricks.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, Product Managers, and Business SMEs.
• Drive speed-to-value while maintaining enterprise-grade security and governance.

Technical Leadership

• Serve as lead engineer within a dedicated delivery squad.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers.
• Lead architectural reviews and solution design sessions.
• Help establish repeatable frameworks for future data squads.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a Lead, Principal, or Architect-level capacity.
• Extensive experience building modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Demonstrated success building greenfield data initiatives from concept through production.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Snowflake
  • Databricks
  • Data Lakehouse Architectures
  • Streaming Technologies
  • Domain-Driven Design
  • Data Product Development
• Experience designing and implementing:
  • Customer 360 platforms
  • Identity Resolution solutions
  • Customer Identity Graphs
  • Recommendation data architectures
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience supporting machine learning and AI workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospitality, Gaming, Entertainment, Loyalty, Travel, or Consumer Digital experience.
• Experience with:
  • Real-time customer personalization
  • Recommendation platforms
  • Customer analytics ecosystems
  • Feature store design
  • ML data preparation frameworks
• Exposure to AI agent initiatives and semantic data architectures.
