Operating Room Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse who is proficient in all aspects of the operating room, including Pre-Op, Circulating, and Post-Op responsibilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the planning and execution of patient care in the operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Operating Room Technicians, and other personnel to ensure optimal patient care.
• Perform duties in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Manage supplies and necessary equipment, ensuring timeliness of surgical cases.
• Communicate with patients' families and provide updates regarding procedures and expectations.
• Maintain physician preference cards and assist in scrubbing and supporting surgical procedures.
• Supervise personnel providing patient care to ensure quality and adherence to established protocols.

Qualifications

• Current RN License in TX or a multistate license.
• CPR certification (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an operating room setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.

Call duties will be required 1-2 weeks per month. This position seeks dedicated nursing professionals who are prepared to contribute to a dynamic surgical environment.
