Overview

Greets and directs visitors and residents within the facility, answers telephones in a courteous, professional manner.

Reports To:

Healthcare Center Administrator

Qualifications and Job Skills:

Must have positive, energetic attitude in serving residents and family members; must be able to communicate clearly, quickly, and effectively; must have excellent computer skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must have prior experience using a switchboard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have dependable, regular attendance
• Must have ability to properly balance petty cash accounts - Basic bookkeeping knowledge preferred
• Process credit card payments and forwards information to bookkeeping.
• Answer all telephone calls promptly and courteously with proper greeting
• Transfers calls to appropriate department and uses overhead paging system when necessary.
• Must learn and use proper procedures when using radio to contact maintenance or housekeeping staff.
• Greet and assists visitors in the facility.
• Know and follow safety and security procedures.
• Is courteous and responsive in answering or directing resident and family questions and requests; uses strong, effective communication skills at all times.
• Communicates effectively with co-workers.
• Additional Duties assigned by Management.

Education and/or Experience: A minimum of one-year experience as an administrative assistant or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform job. Previous experience in a healthcare setting required.
